Diplists compiles information that Russian diplomatic missions (or host-country governments) publish themselves on official public websites: names, professional roles, appointments and links to the relevant sources, for public-interest research. It adds no private, leaked, or non-public data. We aim to be accurate but do not guarantee it; records reflect the staff as last observed and may be incomplete or out of date.

Use the data for research, journalism, and transparency, in accordance with applicable law. Do not use it to harass, threaten, or endanger any individual, to facilitate unlawful activity, or in any way that violates the rights of the people listed. The data is openly licensed (see below); please take bulk data from the feeds and published releases rather than crawling every page; aggressive automated scraping degrades the site for everyone and may be rate-limited.

The data is provided “as is”, without warranty of accuracy or fitness for any purpose. Extraction is automated and may contain errors.

If you create an account, we store your email address and the information needed to provide account features (your watchlist and saved searches). Accounts that are never activated are removed after three days; an activated account's information is kept until you delete it. You can delete your account and its data at any time from your account page.

Our website and infrastructure may process limited technical information (IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and timestamps) for security, abuse prevention and reliable operation, retained only as long as reasonably necessary. Diplists does not sell personal information and uses no advertising or behavioural trackers.

Limited information may be processed by the providers used to host, secure and operate the website and deliver email.

Data compiled by Diplists from publicly published diplomatic staff lists is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0): reuse and republish freely, with attribution to Diplists and a link back.
